E3: Resident Evil 5 / Biohazard 5

New trailer from the boys at Capcom of the upcoming addition to the massively popular (and freaky) Resident Evil / Biohazard series.

Resident Evil (or Biohazard as it's known in Asia) is a long-running survival-horror game from Capcom which first debuted on the Playstation in 1996. Whether or not it was the first actual game in the survival-horror genre is debatable, but Capcom were quick to coin the phrase as their own.

The game is tentatively penciled in for a early 2008 release, and details regarding the plot and storyline are sparse. The setting is purported to have a feel similar to that of the movie Black Hawk Down, and will be directed by Jun Takeuchi, director of Onimusha and producer of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. He has stated that Resident Evil 5 will be a sequel to Resident Evil 4, confirming earlier information from the game's former producer,
Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Cool, loving the premise although kinda mean when you think that the poor people of africa have not only to put up with famine, malaria and aids... but now they're turning into zombies too?!

LOL

Guess they ran out of ideas seeing as the whole futuristic-city-invasion has been played out to death.
